Description: We were born as "Secular Buddhism Group of Barcelona" in 2015, thanks to the blog budismosecular.org. What was sought was an approach based on praxis, not on beliefs, critical of tradition but also willing to challenge our ways of thinking and living. Beyond sitting with our eyes closed, we want to investigate the context of this practice and the philosophy behind it, always in a pragmatic tone. We frame ourselves informally within Insight Meditation, which draws from the oldest sources, preserved in the Pali texts of the Theravada tradition but without being tied to orthodox interpretations.
